Description (eng)
The following thesis deals with the subjective meaning of gainful employment of young people with special educational needs from a Lower Austrian qualification project and demands that can be recognized for future jobs. Gainful employment defines an activity that serves the benefit of a person in a targeted manner and depends on many individual factors (vgl. Flecker 2017:16). For those surveyed, it means a positive working atmosphere through communication and support they can find in their team or from superiors. They gain the opportunity to learn certainty, self-efficacy, a sense of duty and meaningfulness as well as to acquire knowledge and overcome personal limits. In addition to the experience of injustice, employment can help to reveal a professional orientation. The following thesis serves as an incentive for further research and the possibility of the creation of a practice-oriented handbook.
