In dieser Arbeit werden Elemente einer hegemonialen Männlichkeits-Ordnung im Film The Wolf of Wall Street von Mar􀆟n Scorsese beleuchtet. Die Struktur und die Grundmuster nach dem Konzept der hegemonialen Männlichkeit von Raewyn Connell werden mit ihren einzelnen Ebenen der Hegemonie, der Unterordnung, der Komplizenscha􀅌 und der Marginalisierung auf den Film angewendet werden. Außerdem wird ein genauerer Blick mitels Film- und Inhaltsanalyse auf die Entstehung einer solch konstruierten hegemonialen Männlichkeitsstruktur geworfen. Anschließend wird besprochen warum Männlichkeit auf eine bes􀆟mmte Weise im Film repräsen􀆟ert wird und wie die Darstellung von Männlichkeit von den Rezipient:innen interpre􀆟ert werden kann.

This thesis examines elements of a hegemonic masculinity order in the film The Wolf of Wall Street by Mar􀆟n Scorsese are examined. Structure and basic paterns according to Raewyn Connell's concept of hegemonic masculinity are applied to the film with their individual levels of hegemony, subordina􀆟on, complicity and marginaliza􀆟on. In addi􀆟on, the thesis takes a closer look will be taken through film and content analysis at the emergence of such a constructed hegemonic masculinity structure. Subsequently it is discussed why masculinity is represented in a certain way in the film and in which ways the representa􀆟on of masculinity can be interpreted by the recipients.
