Die folgende qualitative Forschungsarbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, welche Wahrnehmung Fachkräfte für Sozialarbeit der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe in Niederösterreich von Rechtsextremismus haben. Im Zuge dessen wurden drei Interviews mit Fachkräften für Sozialarbeit von zwei Bezirkshauptmannschaften in Niederösterreich geführt. Theoretisch eingebettet ist diese Arbeit in den Diskurs der Rechtsextremismusforschung in Österreich sowie in die Diskussion von Sozialer Arbeit und Rechtsextremismus. Im Kontext zunehmender Normalisierung rechtsextremer Positionen zeigt sich, dass eine Auseinandersetzung damit auch in der Kinder- und Jugendhilfe notwendig ist. Es wird beleuchtet, wie Fachkräfte Rechtsextremismus darstellen, benennen und wahrnehmen und wie dieser dadurch verharmlost wird.

The following qualitative study deals with the question of how social work professionals in child and youth welfare in Lower Austria perceive right-wing extremism. In the course of this research, three interviews were conducted with social work professionals from two district authorities in Lower Austria. Theoretically, this work is embedded in the discourse of rightwing extremism research in Austria as well as in the discussion of social work and right-wing extremism. In the context of increasing normalization of right-wing extremist positions, it becomes apparent, that a confrontation with it is necessary, also in child and youth welfare. It is illuminated how professionals present, name and perceive right-wing extremism and how it is thereby trivialized.
