Diese Diplomarbeit bearbeitet die Frage nach der Qualitätssicherung durch Supervision in der Sozialen Arbeit. Anhand einer quantitativen empirischen Untersuchung werden Ergebnisse einer Supervisionsforschung präsentiert und interpretiert, die Hypothesen mit Inhalten wie Qualitätssicherung durch Supervision, veränderte Anforderungen der Professionen an die Supervision, Nutzen, Wirkung und ideale Profile von Supervisorlnnen verifizieren bzw. falsifizieren. Einen umfassenden Überblick über diverse theoretische Grundlagen der Supervision, d.h. Definitionen, Entwicklung und Aufgaben der Supervision, Settings, usw., impliziert diese Arbeit ebenso wie Grundlagen über Qualität, Stellungnahmen von Expertinnen und eine zusammenfassende Darstellung über die bisherigen Ergebnisse in der Supervisionsforschung. Diese theoretischen Inputs stellen in Kombination mit den Forschungsergebnissen, die ich anhand eines Fragebogens darlegen kann, den Inhalt der vorliegenden empirischen Diplomarbeit dar.

The goal of this thesis is to investigate if supervision can contribute to the protection of quality in social work. By means of a quantitative research approach this paper presents and interprets the outcomes. The hypotheses I generated focus on protecting quality through supervision, changing professional qualifications for supervision work, effects and advantages gained from supervision and the ideal profile of supervisors. This research offers an answer to these hypotheses from the point of view of social workers. This diploma gives a general idea about theories of supervision, including definitions, historical development and tasks of supervision as well as settings. Moreover, it focuses on basic quality requirements, comments of experts and a summary description concerning the latest results of supervision research. In combination with the outcomes of the research these theoretic inputs represent the content of this thesis.
