Description (en)
In this user study we compare four different visualization techniques of times series in a spatial context using small multiples.
Collapsed Horizon Graphs divide the line plot in non-overlapping horizontal and vertical squares. From a 2D color map each square is assigned a unique color. The squares are then layered in a specific order.
This screen shows the construction steps of Collapsed Horizon Graphs.
